Nature Journaling
Course Information
Nature journaling is a practice of creativity and curiosity that draws from our own experiences in the natural world. The process of drawing, writing and recording helps focus our attention in the present moment and place.
Course Details
Join artist-naturalist Kim McNett to learn beginner-friendly field sketching and recording techniques that will strengthen your nature observation skills and enhance your personal connection to wild places. You do not need to be a naturalist or an artist to get started, though these skills will develop as your pages fill!
Physical Requirements
You must be physically prepared to hike off-trail up to 3 miles each day, comfortably, with elevation gains up to 1000 feet in undulating terrain. Expect uneven footing, wet boggy tundra, dense undergrowth and minor stream crossings. Good coordination is recommended. Please review the Difficulty Level Scale for more information.
Like any outdoor activity, there are inherent risks associated with our field courses yet we actively manage our exposures and depend on you to play a role in our risk management. Read more here.
