Retail with a Purpose
At Alaska Geographic, we curate and develop interpretive and meaningful products for locals and visitors alike. Our 30+ stores in public land visitor centers across Alaska are education gateways to Alaska’s wildlands, offering books, trail guides, maps, custom memorabilia, collectibles, and unique local gifts to better understand and remember the awe-inspiring places you visit.
All store items require approval from interpretive experts
All items sold in our stores must be approved by interpretive experts at each site, ensuring we maintain a focus on supporting our local Alaskan artists, sustainability, accuracy, and quality in our products. Our stores extend the interpretive mission of our park, refuge, forest and BLM partners to connect visitors to Alaska’s public lands. When you shop at AK Geo outlets, your purchase directly supports that site. Proceeds are donated back to support free publications, exhibit projects, special events, ranger training, and research. You can find us at these public lands below – follow the links to help plan your trips! And if we missed you, you can find many popular items on our online store.
Your support makes a difference
When you make a purchase at our retail stores, you directly contribute to the conservation and maintenance of public lands. Your support helps safeguard these cherished natural spaces for future generations to enjoy.
Our 36 stores in visitor centers across Alaska are education gateways to Alaska’s parks, forests, and refuges. We offer the best books, trail guides, maps, and unique local gifts to help you better understand and remember the awe-inspiring places you visit. Visit our online store for pre-trip planning and post-trip memories. Revenue from our store sales is returned to the public lands to support education programs, stewardship projects, and youth programs.
