Lessons from Denali's Rivers
Date: July 14, 2026
Speaker: Trey Simmons
Location: Murie Science and Learning Center
The waterways of Denali National Park and Preserve are not only a beautiful and varied part of the landscape, but also a key habitat. Thanks to the National Park Service Long-term Inventory and Monitoring Program, we have learned a tremendous amount about these important ecosystems, from hydrology to aquatic insects. Join Trey Simmons, Aquatic Ecologist for the Central Alaska Network, in this talk about the variety of rivers and streams found in the park, what lives in them, and how they are changing in response to a warming climate.
